Nepal is situated between India and Tibet, with the Himalayan mountain range running across the north and west of the country. The country's culture is strongly influenced by both Indian and Tibetan traditions... and many Buddhist monks, exiled from Tibet because of the Chinese occupation of their country, now reside in Nepal. These three varieties of Nepalese incense reflect this mixed culture - the fragrances are quite Indian in style, but the form of the incense is like Tibetan incense - "fat" sticks with a herbal base, rolled with no central bamboo / wooden core.
